Independent Review
5 Year Evaluation
In 2004 the Private Managed Forest Land Council was established under the Private Managed Forest Land Act to administer the Managed Forest Program. In 2009 the Council retained a management consultant, Jon Davies, to undertake an independent review of the operations and activities of Council.
Mr. Davies’ findings and recommendations are documented in the report: Private Managed Forest Land Council - 5 Year Review, November 2009. The Council has formally accepted Mr. Davies’ report including each of his recommendations.
In January 2010 the Council prepared a 5 Year Review Action Plan that
- identifies each of Mr. Davies’ recommendations
- describes the action that Council has taken to date in respect of each recommendation, and
- describes additional actions that are scheduled to be completed.
Implementation of the 5 Year Review Action Plan is ongoing and will be updated periodically.
